Texas Recycles Day – November 12

Start cleaning out your garage, closets, kitchen, etc and get ready for this year’s Recycles Day.

Time: 9:00am to 12:00pm

Location: Newman Smith H.S.

ITEMS WE WILL BE COLLECTING:

Computers, electronics, cords, cell phones, computer monitors, TVs (working or not), any plastic items any size, metal waste, books for reuse or shredding, car batteries, old tires, clothing (any size), shoes, furniture, household items, appliances (working or not), yarn, durable medical equipment (walkers, braces, eyeglasses, hearing aids), garden tools (non-gas powered).
 
And for the first time, we will have on-site instant PAPER SHREDDING for FREE.
Also for the first time we will be taking Styrofoam.  So bring your coolers and packing materials to be recycled rather than sitting in a landfill for eternity!

Senior Center Knitting Group
Redeemer Community Garden
DeBass Recycling

Volunteers needed! High school students, church groups, HOAs, and families are encouraged to help us set up tables and direct traffice as we collect thousands of pounds of recycled items. Volunteers should arrive at Newman Smith at 8:00am. Be sure to dress warm because we will be outside.

CHECK BACK OFTEN FOR NEW ITEMS ADDED..as we add last minute vendors…IF you looking to recycle something and don’t see it on list, send us the name of item and we will try and find a vendor.
